Rosalind Wiseman

Rosalind Wiseman is an internationally recognized expert on children, teens, parenting, bullying, social justice, and ethical leadership. Wiseman is the author of Queen Bees and Wannabes: Helping Your Daughter Survive Cliques, Gossip, Boyfriends, and the New Realities of Girl World, the groundbreaking, fully revised edition of her best-selling book that was the basis for the movie Mean Girls. Her follow‐up book, Queen Bee Moms and Kingpin Dads, addresses the social hierarchies and conflicts among parents. It is now being made into a major motion picture by New Line Cinema. In 2010, Wiseman published the young adult novel Boys, Girls & Other Hazardous Materials. She is now writing a set of companion books for boys and their parents, scheduled for publication in September 2013. She is a frequent guest on The Today Show and Anderson Cooper 360 and has been profiled in The New York Times, People, Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, The Washington Post, USA Today, The Oprah Winfrey Show, Nightline, CNN, Good Morning America, and NPR affiliates throughout the country.

Dr. Justin W. Patchin

Justin W. Patchin joined the faculty at UW-Eau Claire in 2004. He received his Ph.D. in criminal justice from Michigan State University (2004). For the past several years he has been exploring the intersection of teens and technology, with particular focus on cyberbullying and social networking. He travels around the country training educators, counselors, law enforcement officers, parents, and youth on how to prevent and address the consequences of cyberbullying. Dr. Patchin is Co-Director of the Cyberbullying Research Center and has written numerous articles on adolescent behaviors online. His most recent co-authored book: Bullying beyond the Schoolyard: Preventing and Responding to Cyberbullying was named Educator Book of the Year by ForeWord reviews. He has spoken at the White House and the FBI Academy, and has appeared on CNN, NPR, and in The New York Times to discuss issues related to teens use and misuse of technology.

Barbara-Jane Paris

BJ Paris

BJ Paris has been in education for over thirty years. She is currently a middle school principal in Austin, Texas. In addition to her job as principal, Paris serves on numerous state and national advisory boards: White House Office of National Drug Control Policy panel, Safe Schools Coalition, National Association of Secondary School Principals Board, and Regional Collaborative for Excellence in Education. Paris is the recipient of Outstanding Principal of the Year, CBS Affiliate Golden Apple Award, ASCD Leader of Learners Award and Names “Best of Texas”. Her work on cyberbullying has been featured in publications and news stories including CNN and US News Today. Ms. Paris recently testified with Dr. Phil before the U.S. Congress.
