Alliance PAC

About the Alliance PAC

Alliance PAC is a statewide, non-partisan political action committee that represents school leaders on issues affecting public education.

Fundraising

Alliance PAC helps elect and retain supportive candidates to the General Assembly and to the Governor's office. You can become a member of the Alliance PAC through a minimum $25 annual donation. Please click here to download a membership form.

One of the best ways to meet your local legislators and to become a member of the Alliance PAC is to attend a fundraiser. If you are thinking about attending your senator or representative's upcoming fundraiser send your contribution to the Alliance PAC, indicating which fundraiser you plan to attend. The Alliance PAC will then send the amount you contributed on to your legislator in your name.

1The Alliance PAC Trustees are the governing body of the Alliance PAC and oversee/coordinate Alliance PAC activities. The Trustees also have the responsibility of final action on recommendations of the Alliance PAC Endorsement Committee. The Trustees (according to our By-Laws) are made up of 5 Alliance PAC members—a chairman, a treasurer and 3 additional members each representing one of the groups that constitute the Illinois Statewide School Management Alliance i.e. one board member, one superintendent, one business official and one principal. An alternate is also appointed for each of the four groups to represent that group should the Trustee be unable to act and serve. Alternate Trustees are also voting members of the Alliance PAC Endorsement Committee.

2The Alliance PAC Endorsement Committee is created to make decisions regarding the endorsement of legislative and gubernatorial candidates for Illinois public
office. The committee is made up of the alternate to the Alliance PAC Trustees and 3 additional members from each group represented by the Alliance (i.e. 3 board
members, 3 superintendents, 3 business officials and 3 principals). The Endorsement Committee reviews candidate surveys/information, interviews candidates and
makes recommendations for endorsement to the Alliance PAC Trustees who have the final say in who is ultimately endorsed by the Alliance PAC.
